Good Home-style Cooking

This has got to be the best place for good home-style cooking. Being located at the Piedmont Triad Farmer's Market gives them the advantage of being able to literally walk next door and get the freshest, locally grown produce available. Every meal is served with fresh biscuits and apple butter, but not the thick paste your probably used to getting. This is like a thick apple sauce that you can taste the crunch of the apples and the cinnamon when you take a bite.
My first trip to eat here, I got the meatloaf, cabbage, and mashed potatoes and ended up with enough for lunch the next day. They have specials for dinner Friday (All you can eat Fish and Shrimp) and Saturday (BBQ Pork, Chicken, and beef) as well as one of the best selections of fresh vegetables. Nothing here tastes like it came from a can. That's just dinner. My favorite thing in the summer and fall is to get up Saturday morning, and come here for Breakfast, then hit the market.
The breakfast menu here has about anything you could possibly want, from beautiful light pancakes to a full stick to the ribs country breakfast. They also have a Low-Carb combo as well as a low-fat combo that really are good. I fully recommend the Farmer's Market breakfast if you're hungry.
The staff is always friendly, eager to please, and will go out of their way to make you feel like you're at home, and you can't beat the price for what you're getting. They do get busy sometimes, but even then, it's worth the wait for the food you'll get.
